So far, my Spring Break kicked off when my dad and I flew to Minnesota to visit the Mall of America. The funny story behind it was that my dad asked me what I wanted to do for Spring break two days prior to leaving for MoA. I told him that I've always wanted to go to the Mall of America. Before I knew it, my dad had booked roundtrip flights for us to visit the mall in one day, and come back home in the same day!
Having to leave the state, do something, and come back in the same day also meant that we had to catch an early flight. A reeeealyt early flight. How early? Let's just say I had to wake up at 4:00am that morning.
As crazy as that plan sounded, it worked out perfectly. We never had to spend the night! (We never needed to in the first place.) We left home in the morning, visited the mall which was merely a walking distance from the airport, then we flew right back home! I wrote a trip report on my visit here if you want to go through the photos and video.
That trip was... *checks calendar*... four days ago. I stayed in Kentucky for two days before I did another spontaneous trip and flew down to Atlanta, Georgia to visit my mom. That is where I am typing this blog post BTW.
I don't have any plans for what to do whatsoever. Six Flags Over Georgia is out of the question since I won't be able to visit it. I have to be back home by Friday, and the park operates weekends during the month of April.
I don't do meet-ups with people online for paranoia and other obvious reasons, so don't bother asking.
Something is probably going to pop up unannounced, just like hundreds of other spontaneous vacations and trips I've dont in the past. I just wish my family could have some sort of a plan for what to do at least a few weeks in advance so I can be able to... I dunno, prepare properly for it? But I guess things like that aren't going to change here. Hopefully I can branch away from that habit once I'm in college and able to travel on my own... with friends of course.
Hopefully I'll be able to find something to do in the mean time other than fill out scholarships, watch TV, and surf the internet. Till then, I have someone to keep me company!
He is a HUGE male greyhound!
He was brought from a greyhound shelter devoted to saving greyhounds from abuse.
He is sleeping on a dog bed across the room from where I'm sitting. He's a sweet dog when he's not chewing on my sneakers.
I guess he'll help keep me occupied when i'm not doing much around here, because he sure can be a handful to keep straight!
... I gotta go, he's chewing on my shoes again.
